Who this is
Dear Little Thing is a small, one-person letter and print subscription run by Emily, based in London. This page explains what happens to your information when you subscribe, order a print, or get in touch, and the terms that apply to your order.
What I collect
When you subscribe or place an order, I collect the information needed to send you your letters and prints and to process payment:
- Your name, postal address, and email address
- Payment details — handled entirely by Stripe. I never see or store your card details.
- Any message you send through the contact form, including your name and email
I don't use tracking cookies or sell your information to anyone.
What I do with it
- Your postal address is used only to send your monthly letter, print, or portrait order.
- Your email is used to reply to you, send order confirmations, and let you know about your subscription (renewals, changes, or issues with payment).
- Payment is processed securely by Stripe under their own privacy and security terms.
How long I keep it
I keep your details for as long as you're an active subscriber, plus a reasonable period afterwards for bookkeeping and tax purposes. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, just get in touch and I'll remove it, except where I'm required to keep basic order records for accounting.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to see what information I hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email emilyyt2001@gmail.com and I'll sort it out directly — there's no call centre here, just me.
Subscriptions, cancellations & refunds
- Monthly and yearly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time through Stripe's customer portal link in your confirmation email, or by emailing me directly.
- Cancelling stops future renewals — it doesn't refund the current billing period, since that letter or print is already being prepared or has been sent.
- If something arrives damaged, is lost in the post, or simply isn't right, email me with your order details and I'll put it right — a replacement or a refund, whichever makes sense.
- One-off print and portrait orders are non-refundable once work has begun, but again — if something's gone wrong, tell me and I'll fix it.
This is a small, independent business — if anything here doesn't feel right, or you're unhappy with an order, please just email me. I'd always rather sort it out directly than have you walk away unhappy.
Managing your subscription
You can update your payment details, pause, or cancel your subscription yourself at any time — no need to email me first, though I'm always happy to help if anything's unclear.
