Meet Prickly
Prickly is a small, endlessly curious hedgehog who lives at the edge of a garden, and writes a letter every month to tell his subscribers what he's been getting up to. He's nosy, a little clumsy, very fond of snacks, and takes his letter-writing extremely seriously for a hedgehog.
What happens in Prickly's world
Every subscriber's story starts at Letter One, personal to them — whenever they join. Here's a flavour of what Prickly gets up to.
Prickly is nosy and easily distracted — most letters find him meeting someone new in the garden, trying a snack he probably shouldn't, or getting caught up in something far too small to matter this much to a hedgehog.
Spring brings new visitors to the garden, summer brings snacks, autumn brings hoarding, winter brings hiding — Prickly's world moves with the year, so each letter feels like a real moment in time.
New subscribers don't join partway through anything — Prickly's story starts fresh for each child, from their very first letter, and carries on personally from there.
